After graduating from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) with a B.S. in Economics, Philip “Scott” Park earned his Master’s degree in both Finance and Tax from DePaul University. He began his financial career on the floor of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange, then joined a regional investment firm in 1989 and became the firm’s youngest partner. Scott remained with the firm through acquisition and beyond, continuing to build his acumen as a Financial Advisor. He and his team joined Baird in September 2022.
To provide the best advice and service, Scott formed The Park Morrin Group. The team consists of Scott, Aimee Morrin, CFP® and Thomas Fleischmann. As a Director and equity owner with Baird, Scott shares the firm’s commitment to provide unbiased investment advice. He firmly believes that making informed and personalized recommendations, objectively, is the key to earning investors’ trust.
Scott’s commitment to his clients, family, and community exemplifies the importance he places on personal involvement. He and his wife, Alison, live in Glen Ellyn, IL, and spend some of the colder months at their Quail West home in Naples, FL. Scott’s oldest daughter, Sarah, lives in Point Loma near San Diego and keeps busy consulting for ZS Associates. Hallie, his second daughter, lives in Lincoln Park and teaches kindergarten at Whittier Elementary School in Oak Park, IL. Scott’s youngest child, Ryan, is studying Industrial Operations Engineering at the University of Wisconsin. Scott was pleased that Ryan decided to pledge the same fraternity Scott joined while in Ann Arbor - Fiji (Phi Gamma Delta).
Scott has always been active in his community and has held numerous leadership roles, including: Assistant Scoutmaster for Cabrini Green/Streeterville Boy Scout Troup (Scott is an Eagle Scout), Board of Governors for the University of Michigan Alumni Past Decade Club of Chicago, Deacon and Finance Committee at Fourth Presbyterian Church, Marionjoy Foundation Board, President of the Glen Ellyn Rotary Club and Foundation, and a founding board member of the Glen Ellyn Platform Tennis Club. Scott enjoys competitive platform tennis, pickleball, and golf at Glen Oak Country Club and Quail West Golf and Country Club.
